Our Upcoming Retreats & Expeditions (2026–2027): Why We Chose These Places
Over the years, we realized that the places that stay with us the most are not necessarily the “perfect” destinations, but the ones that make us feel something deeply. Places that reconnect us with wonder, simplicity, nature, creativity and presence.
When creating our retreats and expeditions, we don’t simply look for beautiful locations. We look for places that invite transformation, meaningful encounters and a slower, more conscious way of traveling.
For 2026–2027, we’ve chosen destinations that each carry a very different energy and atmosphere, yet all reflect the values at the heart of Carpe Diem Holistic: connection, ocean awareness, creativity, mindfulness, movement, wildlife, culture and intentional living.
Here’s a glimpse into why these places inspire us so much.
☀️ CENTRAL ITALY — SUMMER 2026
Art, Thermal Waters & Slow Living
Italy is deeply personal to us, not only because it is Chiara’s home country, but because it represents a way of living that many people long for today: shared meals, beauty in the small details, meaningful conversations and a deep appreciation for art, culture and human connection.
Central Italy, in particular, has a softness that feels timeless. Rolling landscapes, ancient villages, thermal waters, quiet streets, local markets and family-run places all create an atmosphere that encourages people to slow down and truly experience life rather than rush through it.
This retreat is not about checking places off a list. It’s about feeling immersed in the rhythm of Italy — through food, landscapes, photography, conversations and presence.
🌴 COSTA RICA — SEPTEMBER 2026
Jungle, Surf & Water Awareness
Costa Rica represents vitality, tropical abundance and connection with nature.
We chose an area that offers a perfect combination of jungle, ocean, wildlife and movement-oriented lifestyle. It’s a place where people naturally spend more time outdoors, barefoot, connected to the rhythm of the waves and surrounded by lush green landscapes.
This retreat is designed around the idea of reconnecting with the body through movement and water: surfing, aquatic bodywork, yoga, breathwork, freediving awareness and creativity.
Costa Rica reminds us that healing and joy can coexist — that adventure, playfulness and rest can all be part of the same experience.
🐋 TONGA — OCTOBER 2026
Humpback Whales & Remote Island Life
Some places feel almost untouched by modern life, and Tonga is one of them.
What drew us to Tonga was not only the possibility of swimming with humpback whales, but the atmosphere surrounding the experience: remote islands, simplicity, silence, respect for nature and a slower island rhythm that feels increasingly rare in today’s world.
For this expedition, we chose a private island in Vava’u because it offers the possibility of disconnecting deeply from everyday distractions and reconnecting with the ocean in a more intimate and intentional way.
Swimming with whales is never something we want to reduce to “tourism.” For us, it is an emotional, humbling and transformative experience that reminds us how small and interconnected we truly are.
This expedition is designed for people who feel deeply moved by wildlife, the ocean and meaningful experiences in nature.
🌺 NOVEMBER 2026
A South Pacific / Southeast Asia Exploratory Retreat
For November 2026, we are still planning and deciding where the journey may lead us.
We are currently considering destinations such as Fiji, Bali or Timor-Leste — each offering a very different atmosphere, yet all deeply connected to the ocean, island life, tropical nature and meaningful cultural experiences.
Whether it becomes a remote reef and island immersion in the South Pacific, a holistic retreat blending movement and spirituality in Bali, or a more adventurous exploratory journey through the raw marine beauty of Timor-Leste, our intention remains the same: creating an experience centered around connection, creativity, water awareness, mindfulness and authentic encounters with nature and local culture.
We will keep everyone updated as this next chapter takes shape 🌊
🦭 GALÁPAGOS — FEBRUARY 2027
Wildlife & Evolution
Few places on Earth awaken curiosity and wonder like the Galápagos Islands.
The magic of Galápagos lies in the feeling that wildlife still exists there on its own terms. Sea lions swim beside you with playfulness, marine iguanas rest on volcanic rocks, penguins dive through cold currents and the entire archipelago feels shaped by raw natural forces.
We chose Galápagos because it represents the power of biodiversity, coexistence and respect for the natural world.
This expedition is designed for travelers who feel inspired by wildlife encounters, exploration, underwater experiences and learning directly from nature itself.
💧 MAYAN CENOTES & CULTURE — APRIL 2027
Sacred Waters & Reflection
The cenotes of the Yucatán Peninsula hold a very unique energy.
These freshwater cave systems were sacred to the ancient Maya and still carry a sense of mystery, silence and introspection. Light filtering through crystal-clear water, jungle sounds above and submerged formations below create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else.
This retreat combines exploration and creativity with deeper reflection through yoga, movement, underwater photography and holistic practices.
One of the aspects we love most about this region is the relationship between water, culture and spirituality — the feeling that nature itself becomes part of the experience of reconnecting inwardly.
🐬 BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR — MAY 2027
Ocean Encounters & Desert Landscapes
Baja continues to be one of the most exciting marine environments we have ever experienced.
What makes this region so magical is the contrast between desert and ocean, stillness and movement, vast landscapes and incredibly dynamic marine life.
Each season brings different encounters: massive schools of mobula rays, dolphins, whales, whale sharks, sea lions and often orcas.
But beyond the wildlife, Baja has taught us something about wonder itself — about remaining open to the unexpected and learning from the rhythm of the ocean.
🍷 ITALY AGAIN — JUNE / JULY 2027
Returning to Beauty & Simplicity
Returning to Italy once again feels important to us because it offers a completely different kind of nourishment.
After months of ocean expeditions and wildlife-focused journeys, Italy invites us back into culture, slowness, beauty and art.
We believe that travel is not only about adventure, but also about learning to appreciate rituals, conversations, food, culture and atmosphere.
These personalized experiences are designed to celebrate that softer and more intentional side of travel.
🦭 PATAGONIA — AUGUST / SEPTEMBER 2027
Wildness, Silence & Perspective
Patagonia is one of the places that shaped us the most.
The vast open landscapes, cold waters, marine wildlife and feeling of remoteness constantly remind us how small we are in the best possible way.
Patagonia strips life down to what truly matters: nature, simplicity, resilience and presence.
Our expeditions there combine wildlife encounters, freediving, photography and exploration, but what people often remember most is the feeling Patagonia leaves behind — a sense of perspective, silence and connection with something much bigger than ourselves.
It is a place that humbles you, inspires you and stays with you long after you leave.
As we continue designing these journeys, our intention remains the same:
to create experiences that are not only beautiful, but meaningful.
Experiences that invite people to reconnect — with nature, with themselves and with others.
Because for us, travel has never simply been about moving from one place to another.
It has always been about learning how to live more fully.
