Natural Rhythms and Creative Exploration: Making Space for What Comes Next

Chiara Bussini from Carpe Diem Holistic visiting the Biennale d'Arte di Venezia (Venice Art Biennale) 2026

There are periods when creativity asks us to move outward, to share, explore and bring ideas into the world. And others when it invites us to slow down, look inward and make space for what is still taking shape.

This last period has indeed been dedicated to reflections, creative practices and connections; we have also been creating another short video art whose central theme evolves about this process of listening to one’s inner voice and intuition.

The Carpe Diem Holistic work has always moved between different worlds: photography and film, water and movement, freediving and yoga, artistic expression and mindful experiences in nature. Rather than following a single path, we are interested in the connections between these disciplines, and in the possibilities that emerge when they meet.

Right now, much of our energy is going into the creative process behind the scenes: developing new projects, editing our latest ones, exploring ideas and beginning to shape the retreats, residencies and collaborations we hope to bring to life next year.

We are giving ourselves time to ask questions, experiment, and allow new ideas to emerge, without rushing to define every answer. For us, this is an essential part of the creative journey: learning to recognise which paths feel meaningful and making room for the work that is waiting to be created.

Sharing our artistic journey

Alongside this period of exploration, Carpe Diem Holistic has been featured in Artist Closeup Magazine and on its website, where we were interviewed about our artistic approach, the values behind our work, and the ideas that connect our different practices.

It was an opportunity to reflect on what brings our work together, beyond the individual photographs, films or experiences we create. At the heart of it all is a curiosity about our relationship with the natural world, the ways we inhabit our bodies, and how art can invite us to look more attentively at the world around us.

Looking towards the horizon

As we look towards the coming year, we are imagining new ways to bring our work together: artistic projects, encounters in nature, creative collaborations and immersive experiences that make space for presence, movement and connection.

Some ideas are already taking shape; others are still open possibilities. We want to remain receptive to unexpected encounters, places and people that might become part of the journey.

For now, we continue creating, observing, researching and dreaming: trusting that meaningful work needs both movement and stillness, both the courage to explore and the patience to let things unfold.

There is always more to discover, and we look forward to seeing what the next chapter brings and which collaborations and projects will blossom.
